The Bulldogs even their overall record at 8-8 and secured a third place finish in the SoCon standings with a 4-2 mark on the season.

Alarcon, Delaney Capture Crowns at All-Academy Championships
Richard Alarcon and No. 15 Odie Delaney each captured titles in their respective weight classes as The Citadel wrestling team placed third at the 2012 All-Academy Championships hosted by Air Force Sunday afternoon. Navy won the 2012 crown, its 11th overall and third straight, holding off host Air Force 109.5 to 105. The Bulldogs finished with 81 points.

The loss drops the Bulldogs to 5-8 overall, 1-2 in the SoCon, while UTC improves to 11-3 overall and 4-0 in the league. The Mocs have won 39 straight SoCon dual meets, dating back to a 27-13 defeat at the hands of The Citadel on Feb. 14, 2004.

Turtogtokh Luvsandorj, Kelby Smith and Odie Delaney all went a perfect 5-0 over the weekend as The Citadel wrestling team placed eighth out of 14 teams at the Virginia Duals held at the Hampton Coliseum. The Bulldogs opened the second day of action with a 22-15 win over North Carolina before dropping a 19-18 heart-breaker on a tiebreaker to North Dakota State and losing in the seventh-place bout to the University of Buffalo 24-15.
