Groselle Receives SoCon Player of the Week Award
The Citadel’s Mike Groselle has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for all games played February 26 through March 2. It is the first time since Nov. 13 that the Plano, Texas, native has received the accolade, placing him alongside Jake Cohen (Davidson) and Lucas Troutman (Elon) as the only players to be distinguished with the honor on multiple occasions this season.

Mike Groselle completed his 26th career double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds, including 10 points in the extra session, as The Citadel earned an 80-77 overtime victory in Southern Conference action on Wednesday evening. He was joined in double figures by freshman sharpshooter Matt Van Scyoc who added a season-high 24 points, due in large part to four 3-pointers, as The Citadel earn its third win at the Holmes Convocation Center since the 2008-09 campaign.

P.J Horgan scored a career-high 23 points, netting 17 in the second half, as The Citadel completed the second biggest second half comeback in school history in an 84-79 victory at Furman on Saturday afternoon.
