Prospective Cadet-Student-Athletes
We are excited that you are considering joining the great tradition of Citadel Athletics. To make your journey toward becoming a student-athlete here at The Citadel as smooth and easy as possible, we want you to be aware of how the process for prospective student-athletes works.
The first step that you should take is at the end of your junior year; this is when you need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. You will also want to make sure you are eligible to participate in college sports. From this site, you will be able to determine whether or not the classes you are taking will be applied toward your core requirements.
The next step is to apply to The Citadel early in your senior year. More information regarding applying to The Citadel and the school itself can be found below in the links.
The final step in becoming a student-athlete here at The Citadel is to sign the National Letter of Intent that is offered by the coach that is recruiting you. You may also want to seek additional financial aid.
If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to contact The Citadel’s Athletic Compliance Office.
